TCPA Robocall Settlement

Greico Ford Fort Lauderdale LLC is set to pay $4.8 million for sending unwanted automated advertising messages to consumers in violation of the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA). Greico Ford allegedly sent autodialed text messages and prerecorded ringless voicemails to lead plaintiff Vincent Papa and 27,062 others – all of whom did not give expressed written consent to receive these messages.

The proposed settlement asks for attorneys’ fees up to 21 percent of the settlement fund, and a service award of up to $10,000 for the plaintiff. Each settlement class member is expected to receive a check of up to $180 minus fees.
