Gryphon Networks, a leader in sales intelligence and marketing compliance services, today announced the appointment of Melissa Bateman Fitzgerald as General Counsel.

Bateman Fitzgerald brings 10 years of experience with Gryphon, most recently as VP of Marketing Privacy Consulting, where she has been instrumental in establishing and managing the growing practice, advising clients as legal counsel in the areas of do-not-contact law, privacy, and consumer preferences. Many of Gryphon’s largest clients rely on her counsel to ensure compliance while preserving and growing marketing effectiveness along the way.

Attorney Fitzgerald earned her law degree from Suffolk University School of Law, graduated from the Eagleton Institute of Politics, and earned a degree in political science from Rutgers College at Rutgers University. Prior to her tenure at Gryphon, Fitzgerald was employed as manager and legal counsel of the global privacy office of Monster Worldwide.

Fitzgerald is a Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP) and a certified ATA-SRO auditor and is regularly asked to speak on and contribute to industry panels including the Direct Marketing Association (DMA), International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP), and Professional Association for Customer Engagement (PACE, formerly the ATA).
