Melissa Bateman Fitzgerald – General Counsel
Melissa Bateman Fitzgerald heads up Gryphon’s Privacy Consulting practice and, for the past decade, has delivered counsel to some of the largest financial institutions and corporations in the U.S. and abroad. Melissa has extensive experience providing privacy consultation and is considered a thought leader in all marketing privacy and teleservices matters. Melissa is regularly asked to speak on and contribute to industry panels including the Direct Marketing Association (DMA), International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP), and Professional Association for Customer Engagement (PACE, formerly the ATA).
Before her tenure at Gryphon, Melissa was employed as manager and legal counsel of the global privacy office of Monster Worldwide (Monster.com). Melissa is a Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP) and a certified ATA-SRO auditor.
Melissa earned her law degree from Suffolk University School of Law, graduated from the Eagleton Institute of Politics, and earned a degree in political science from Rutgers College at Rutgers University.
