President Trump plans to nominate a former Federal Communication Commissioner to serve again. Jessica Rosenworcel (D) started working as a commissioner in 2012 but left early 2017 after the Senate did not confirm her for another term.
Trump announced his intent on Tuesday. This announcement comes just months after Rosenworcel withdrew her name as a candidate from the open Democratic seat on the Commission.
The FCC’s Chairman, Ajit Pai (R), said, “She (Rosenworcel) has a distinguished record of public service, including the four-and-a-half years we worked together at this agency, and I look forward to working with her once again to advance the public interests.”
