Sales Development Representative (SaaS)

Description: 

As a Sales Development Representative, you will be a key component of the Gryphon sales organization.  Upon hiring, the SDR will handle telephone, email and Web-based interaction with prospective Gryphon customers. In this internally based role, you will respond to sales inquiries, prospect for new customers, and work toward closing business. In addition to your inbound sales responsibilities, you will also work with Gryphon’s enterprise sales team, who will serve as mentors, to develop new leads, identify and develop new complicated sales opportunities and help close business. As a sales associate, you are responsible for forging the expansion of the Gryphon corporate account base while learning the skills to be a successful business development executive and maximizing your personal earnings.

Requirements: 

  • BA/BS required, preferably in business or marketing
  • Minimum 1-3 years quota-driven inside sales experience
  • High energy with a positive attitude
  • Strong work ethic with a “make it happen” attitude
  • Demonstrated self-starter mentality
  • Work well in a fast-paced team environment
  • Exceptional interpersonal, critical thinking and communication skills
  • Willing and capable to dial a large volume of outbound calls
  • Effective phone presence
  • Professional and polished demeanor
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience with CRM/Contact Management Systems (preferably Salesforce.com)
  • Proficient with Word, Excel and PowerPoint

Responsibilities: 

  • Achieve assigned revenue target by selling Gryphon’s complete line of services
  • Answer incoming calls and emails in relation to sales questions
  • Perform outbound email and telephone prospecting campaigns based on internal and external lists
  • Contact existing customers to obtain referrals
  • Contact existing customers to cross-sell complementary products
  • Investigate potential vertical markets and prospect in these markets
  • Coordinate with Sales Directors
  • Respond to inquiries from CEO, President, SVP Sales and Biz. Dev. leadership
  • Work with the Marketing Department to develop and execute direct-mail and email campaigns
  • Track sales processes and develop revenue forecasts in Salesforce.com
  • Provide management with quarterly revenue and activity commitments

Skills: 

Familiarity with Salesforce.com and Outlook, exceptional writing and communication skills.
